Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

IAS: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in any discipline.

IFS: A bachelor’s degree with at least one of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering.

Age Limit

  • Minimum: 21 years
  • Maximum: 32 years (as of 01/08/2025)
  • Age relaxation applies as per UPSC rules.

Selection Process

The recruitment process comprises three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination: Objective-type test to shortlist candidates for the main exam.
